We first met Johnny through his cousin Tabrina and it turned out to be the best moving advice ever! When I found out that we'd be moving from Frederickson, WA to Charleston, SC for work in 2016, she gave me Johnny's information. The move was a rush and we had to get housing fast so we started out with an apartment.Fast-forward to March of 2017 - we were finally ready to start talking houses. We immediately called Johnny again and got down to business. Johnny was knowledgeable, incredibly patient, friendly, kind, and just awesome to work with. He made sure we had access to the most recent listings and helped us narrow down the things we valued most in a home. Johnny took the time and listened to what we had to say about those things we valued, where we wanted to be, and where we didn't want to be. His extensive knowledge about the many neighborhoods in the Charleston area was incredibly helpful. Not only did we look at the places we wanted to see, he also had us look at places we would probably not have picked for ourselves which gave us a broader sense of what was really available. Johnny was always generous and flexible with his time as well. He walked the houses with us and pointed out things that, as newcomers to SC, we might not have otherwise known. Even when we had a couple roadblocks like the seller not countering on a house we really liked, or the cool skylight and vaulted ceilings in a house that were actually, upon closer inspection, in need of more repair than we were ready to commit to, Johnny took it all in stride and got us back on track. When we finally found a THE ONE, Johnny was our advocate and advisor on everything from bidding strategy to inspections, protocol and closings…he worked hard for us to get this house I'm sitting in now; our home that we completely love. This is what we love about Johnny: At the first house we looked at, he had a clipboard, print-outs, and a pen ready for us and instructed us to make notes about the house so we wouldn't forget the details later. He was prepared like that for every instance – super Realtor! He also didn't inundate us with too many houses in one day. It is absolutely clear that real estate is Johnny's passion and he is always ready with kindness, advice, and resources – even now after we've gone through the sale. The whole experience has been educational, positive, and ultimately a success because we truly do have a home we love now. These days we consider Johnny much more than just our realtor; he has become our friend and we would both, without hesitation, highly recommend him for anyone's real estate needs. I know that one day we will sell this house and retire up north. Words of Caution: There is a vast number of real estate agents in the Charleston area that are more than capable of selling a home. Some advertise by sending mailers to your home, some by radio, and even some via billboards. I grew up in Charleston and have come to know a great many of the realtors in the area.When it came time to sell our home my wife and I spoke with a few that we knew. Before long, many friends and acquaintances spoke of a realtor that I should meet with. I figured he was worth hearing out as my wife and I hadn't felt comfortable with anyone yet, so we decided to give him a call. A realtor named Johnny Joyce came by the house and immediately I realized why he was so highly recommended. Johnny showed up on time and had this way of making my wife and I feel comfortable. His passion for what he does and love for people was evident in his character. One thing I especially loved was that he wasn't trying to twist my arm to work with him or sell me on some unrealistic price for my home. He was just honest and he explained the process. Johnny had a great presentation, showing similar homes in the area and how they compare. My wife is a great judge of character and was somewhat standoffish towards all the others we met. Now a stranger who we didn't know came to our home and we both felt like we had known him for years. He is an expert in what he does. I can't imagine anyone doing better than he. Johnny has been in the industry for a few decades and with his experience has come some great wisdom and understanding of client's needs and expectations. The choice was easy for my wife and I. Usually, we take some time to discuss major decisions, but this time we didn't have to. We knew Johnny was our guy. He said something about his average timeframe for selling a home was around 45 days. I was amazed because I was told by most that I could expect 90 days with them. Johnny however did not sell our home in the 45-day average. He didn't need that long. While most over promise and under deliver, Johnny over delivered and exceeded our expectations. It took him less than a month to find a buyer and not only that, the first offer was above our asking price. My neighbor who had a similar home took months to sell and they had some upgrades. They didn't have Johnny Joyce though. We sold for higher than similar homes in the area. As far as I am concerned, there is not another realtor that I would trust more with my home. It is no wonder he comes so highly recommended. You can't help but feel like you made a friend once you meet him. I would tell anyone that is thinking of selling their home to contact Johnny first, they won't be disappointed. As long as he is in real estate, Johnny is my guy. Word of caution: Start packing your home immediately. Johnny will sell it quicker than you think.

I served in the Navy which required me to move on occasion. There is a lot of stress in making a move across the country, moving to a place you are unfamiliar with. Johnny Joyce made our move from Bremerton, WA to Charleston, SC much less stressful. As a real estate agent, he was attentive to my needs and wants.He spent hours with me looking at homes, always providing me with valuable input with regards to each home's positives and negatives. He did so in a way that was not trying to pressure me into making an offer but rather giving me a clearer picture of the homes overall value. He sold our last home in Goose Creek/Hanahan a couple of years ago when the market wasn't so great and we, having 9 children, needed to do a lot of updating and cosmetic work on our home which was going to require that we vacated it before the work was done. Johnny stepped in and handled getting the bids from contractors and when we selected one, Johnny handled all the scheduling and intermediary in handling the payments to the contractor and keeping us in the communication loop at all times. The finished product was better than we could have imagined and our home sold very fast and for full price even in the down market. Simply amazing this guy, Johnny Joyce. So well versed in all facets of the real estate transaction. I have worked with real estate agents that I felt were trying to sell me a home rather than just giving me their professional input to my decision making. I cannot tell you how much that matters in the pressure of buying a home. For over seven years, my family and I loved the home I bought. There was absolutely no 'buyers remorse'. I have worked with Johnny on selling my home in Charleston and buying two additional homes. When I retired from the Navy I needed Johnny's help in selling my home in Charleston but I needed another real estate agent for my new home in Massachusetts. Sadly I couldn't take Johnny with me to Massachusetts. I trusted Johnny would be able to still help me and he did. He directed me to a wonderful real estate agent that was fantastic. We were only there for a year and got transferred again to Seattle, WA. Once again we went to Johnny to get his recommendation and he came through for us again. He doesn't let his clients down. He works tirelessly even when it does not benefit him in any way. He is a man of integrity and a Southern Gentleman.
